Now this statue is in San Diego. I have always loved this photo. I was born 16 years after this was taken, but, it still has an impact, for me. The unraveled mystery of who the sailor and nurse are, makes it no less cool. The impromptu kiss was such a wonderful way to show how happy people were, that the war was over. I am just surprised that there were not more people grabbing random others, to kiss.
